"Is there a way to stream HD MKV files with AllShare to the Samsung Galaxy Tab? I've got a lot of them but I can't play them. Any other file is doing just fine." A quick test streaming from a desktop PC to the Tab reveals that it can play:
.avi = plays ok
.wmv = plays ok
.mp4 = plays ok

Once run the program, click "Add Video" button to import your source MKV files. You are allowed to add multiple MKV files to convert at a time. And if you wanna combine the loaded files into a single file, you can tick off the checkbox "Merge into one file".
If your source MKV contains multiple subtitles streams and audio tracks, you can click on the pull down menu after "Subtitles" and "Audio" respectively to select a certain track to be kept in the final output file. In that way, your MKV for AllShare will be played with your specified audio and subtitles track.
Step 2: Select "Samsung Galaxy Tab (*.mp4)" as output format for your Tab.
