Why is Sony Tablet S good for movie playback?
In the first place, it features a 9.4" touch screen with display resolution 1280 x 800, keen enough to present HD videos. Secondly, it is ready for video streaming- the Sony Tablet S is a DLNA-certified device- you don’t even have to transfer movies to the tablet, with streaming feature it is easy to access movies from media server and play them on the air. And it works like a remote control, like play and push a movie to the HDTV placed at living room for watching. Lastly, the Sony Tablet S has a Micro USB port and SD card slot at its side. You can add external storages to the tablet before going for a long travel- a portable external USB storage device can store tons of movies.

You can easily copy a movie from DVD or Blu-ray Disc and transfer/copy Blu-ray movie to Sony Tablet S via USB connection. A guide is provided below.

Guide: Rip a DVD or Blu-ray movie for Sony Tablet S playback.
Get the tool you need- Pavtube Sony Tablet S Blu-ray Ripper ($49) first, which hacks DVD and Blu-ray Disc and rips movies to MP4, AVI, WMV, MKV, etc with flexible settings. Go ahead to download a Blu-ray Ripper trial (Windows XP/2000/Vista/7) and see how it works with your Touch Pad.

Step 1. Click "Add" to load Blu-ray Disc or DVD from optical drive.

Step 2. Unfold the movie directory and select Main movie.

Step 3. Select preferred language from drop-down list of "Subtitles" and "Audio" box.

Step 4. Click "Format" bar and select "Common Video>> "H.264 Video (*.mp4)" format. The format keeps original video resolution (1920x1080 for Blu-ray and 720x480 for DVD) while shrinking a movie to 2-3GB.

Step 5. Click "Convert" to rip Blu-ray/DVD movie to Sony Tablet S. When conversion completes click the "Open" button to find the converted .mp4 movie and transfer the movie to Sony Tablet S.

Note: When importing movie to Blu-ray Ripper, keep your computer networked so that Blu-ray Ripper can access CSS and AACS keys to crack the DVD/Blu-ray copy-protections. Also note that a Blu-ray Disc drive is required to read BD.

About transfer/put Blu-ray movies to Sony Tablet S:
If you connect a computer to Sony Tablet S device using the microUSB cable sold separately, you can copy data on a computer to your Sony Tablet S. The copied data can then be played back on your tablet device.

Notes:
Do not remove the microUSB cable during copying data. That may cause the data to be damaged.

The copied data is stored in the internal memory. You cannot change the destination to store the data.

Only copied data in supported file formats can be played back on your tablet device.
