Aunsoft Time-lined Trimmer-Trim Canon HF G10 1920*1080 MTS Files without re-encoding

As a loyal follower of HD camcorder, I always expect to own every new camcorder when they come to the market. After buying several HD camcorders from the oldest Sony Handycam DCR-TRV240E to the latest Panasonic TM700, I just got my new favorite Canon Vixia HF-G10 Full HD Camcorder on hands. As the latest flagship camcorder in Canon’s consumer line, Canon Vixia HF-G10 has outstanding low light performance. And the point that attracts me the most is its HD CMOS Pro Censor contains 1920 x 1080 pixels which is exactly the number of pixels required for full HD video.

The HF-G10 has 32GB of flash drive, allowing me to record almost three hours of 1920*1080 footages. For a shooting lover, it is necessary, even essential to do some editing, like merging, trimming/splitting/cutting to their recordings. Right, a efficient of AVCHD trim software or simple AVCHD merger is a must-have tool. For the past 5 years, I always used some free merger or trimmer which can help me do some work but they can not satisfy me with its instability and the poor quality of output video files. Finally it drives this confusion away until my discovery of Aunsoft Final Mate for Mac which is the most simple but the most efficient tool which has a perfect performance in trimming/cutting/splitting my Canon Vixia HF-G10 MTS clips in its time line and join segments into big one.

Following is the experience of using Final Mate for Mac to trim/cut/split Canon HF G10 AVCHD video files.

For preparation of trimming or splitting Canon Vixia HF-G10 1920*1080 MTS files, please run Aunsoft Final Mate for Mac and then connect Canon Vixia HF-G10 to Macbook. With Final Mate built–in Wizard, it can detect camcorder automatically. And then choose Import option for faster loading MTS video files from Canon Vixia HF-G10 to Final Mate for Mac.

The next step is creating a Movie for MTS files trimming or splitting. What you should do is dragging and dropping MTS files to be trimmed to timeline and you will notice that a lossless output Movie has been created automatically. An alternative way to create a lossless output movie and then directly drag and drop MTS files to this movie.

Now it's time to trim or split Canon Vixia HF-G10 1920*1080 MTS video files. Following I will share the manipulating of Final Mate to Trim Canon Vixia HF-G10 MTS files on Mac with two simple ways.

Option one: Trim Canon Vixia HF-G10 MTS files in Final Mate timeline.
If you would like to trim the front part of your video file, please move your mouse to the left border of the clip. When the mouse turns into a square bracket, you can drag it to your desirable time and then release the mouse and the unwanted parts will be deleted automatically. If you want to trim the end part, please follow these steps from the right border.

Option two: Split/Cut MTS video files frame-by-frame.
Choose the time point you want to split or cut by moving the vernier on timeline and then click Split button to divide one clip into two parts. Finally select your unwanted part and delete it by clicking Delete button.

Final step is exporting the trimmed or splitted video files with the original MTS format and video quality by clicking "Export" button.
