As a loyal follower of HD camcorder, I always expect to own every new camcorder when they come to the market. After buying several HD camcorders from the oldest Sony Handycam DCR-TRV240E to the latest Panasonic TM700, I just got my new favorite Canon Vixia HF-G10 Full HD Camcorder on hands. As the latest flagship camcorder in Canon’s consumer line, Canon Vixia HF-G10 has outstanding low light performance. And the point that attracts me the most is its HD CMOS Pro Censor contains 1920 x 1080 pixels which is exactly the number of pixels required for full HD video.
The HF-G10 has 32GB of flash drive, allowing me to record almost three hours of 1920*1080 footages. For a shooting lover, it is necessary, even essential to do some editing, like merging, trimming/splitting/cutting to their recordings. Right, a efficient of AVCHD trim software or simple AVCHD merger is a must-have tool. For the past 5 years, I always used some free merger or trimmer which can help me do some work but they can not satisfy me with its instability and the poor quality of output video files. Finally it drives this confusion away until my discovery of Aunsoft Final Mate for Mac which is the most simple but the most efficient tool which has a perfect performance in trimming/cutting/splitting my Canon Vixia HF-G10 MTS clips in its time line and join segments into big one.
Following is the experience of using Final Mate for Mac to trim/cut/split Canon HF G10 AVCHD video files.
